Change Date format for Join form and Edit Profile

Hello All,

How do you change the date format in the for the Date of Birth in the join form and the edit profile form?

Currently it is YYYY-MM-DD

How do you change it to DD-MM-YYYY

I see that there are many many posts about this on the forum, but they are in the most part all  over a year old. We are using 7.1.1 so I suspect this is not an issue anymore and there is just a setting I am missing somewhere.

But if it is still an issue, then what files do I need to hard code change to get the date showing in the UK format?

Cheers

Date format in inputs isn't changeable.

This is because date format wasn't consistent in used js calendars and manual parse function in the code.

 So I can't fix this with 7.1.1?

That sucks.  Not a single one of my members uses a YYYY-MM-DD format.

This isn't controlled by any of the date fields in the languages->settings?

No.  Those are set correctly.  I'm in the process of upgrading to 7.1.1 and just found this.  I had it finally working correct on 7.1.0.

We are still struggling to find a workaround or change for this. Dates are correct everywhere Except the Jquery Datepicker display.

For the Join, edit profile and places like Add event etc.

There must be a way to just show the format we want leaving the actual code and database systems using whatever format they currently do...

We could add (yyyy-mm-dd) below the form field to help users. I would like to also fix the date field with drop select menus for each. No need to type here...

Also, my calendar opens with only 2015 as the year in the drop select menu. Why????
