Change news feed home page does not work

I want to change the news feed on the home page (standard Boonex), which is fed by the Boonex Blog (see admin dasboard->builders->page blocks->homepage->Boonex News) with the code: http://www.boonex.com/unity/blog/featured_posts/?rss=1

into my own: http://www.mysite.nl/blogs/featured_posts/?rss=1 but that does not work.

Loading the homepage with the code changed into my own shows the little loading graph (the turning wheel) and no featured posts of my blog are shown.

Anyone an idea what I am doing wrong?

Thanks.

Is there something wrong with using the RSS Feed block, instead of trying to modify the Boonex block??

thank you for your quick answer, although I do not quite understand what to do with it. Could you please be a little more specific on what changes I have to make to get my own news (from my own blog) on the homepage?

Thanks,

/Hans

UPDATE: I think I got your point. I moved the RSS Feed block from "unused" to the top of the list and inserted the code above. Still does not work, still got the spinning cart wheel.

Getting the same problem; with both the Boonex News, any Custom RSS Feeds I add and also the latest posts panel on the forums page.

All coming up with the circle graphic.

Would be most grateful if anyone could shed any light!

Wish I could help, but I can't duplicate the problem.

well, I finally found the solution. There is an excellent tut on BoonExNerd.com, on the homepage (or search).

I've got mine working, although not what I wanted, but I have a live feed of an News RSS locally and it works.

Still have no clue on how to get my own news (or the featured lines of my blog) in a RSS block.

Maybe somebody out there have the same problem?
