Changing the default view of members block

Can anyone please advise how to change the default view in the members block on the homepage from 'Latest' to 'Online'?

and change that last to online

Why thank you Prolaznik - you are generally more likely to get attacked here for pushing for improvements so it is nice that you remembered that.  I really like being able to show just the members with pictures in that block.  It seems to me that it makes new members more likely to post their pictures.  Keep up the good work!

 Nobody attacks anybody for pushing for improvements, that is the goal of everyone here.  However, people do get annoyed when individuals keep demanding something they need be included into the base package when not everyone needs or wants it.  Dolphin is designed for the masses, not an individual or any individual type of site.  The reason we have mods is so that it can be customized to the needs of each type of site.  It just seems that sometimes people tend to forget it's a mass use product and not designed out of the box for their specific purpose.  Perhaps reviewing your choice of words would result in less of a perception of offense.

@Mydatery.    Actually "pushing for improvements" is not the goal of everyone here.  Some here would rather Dolphin not be improved at all so they can hawk some worthless product that does something Dolphin should do in the first place.   I received your lovely email about how you intend to copy whatever I do and devote your life to destroying me.   Fine, whatever,  I do think you need help  -  but most of us come to this forum for technical support, and we give back when we can.  You are apparently here to fill some other need you have, and you contribute FAR less than you think you do.    At least half of the time you post here it is only to mock and insult someone and you are HARDLY a person to talk about "choice of words".   I don't have any interest your "private labeled" Dolphin  product - put it on the market if it is so fantastic, and I don't have time in my life for your ugly negative energy.  I really, really, really don't want to have anything to do with you.

@Prolaznik...nice mod. I was hoping that it would point me in the direction of creating a new block to show online members only that would appear under the top members block. WhatI am trying to say is that in one block you could see who the latest members are and underneath it in another block you could see ALL the online members.

I tried creating something though I am concerned that too much of it is guess work and may cause unwanted errors. If you have the time, could you please post something about how to create this? I am sure other members would find it useful too.

If you don't then could you recommend a source of information like a website or a book that could show me how to figure it out and thus limit my guess work?

Your right Rob, it's not the goal of everyone.  Some are here for the purpose of serving there own (yes, read what you want into that) purposes.  Some here would like to have Dolphin developed out of the box to meet their needs even though their needs are an extreme minority and they utilize Dolphin for a purpose very few, if anyone else needs it. 

As far as my offering you a copy of my dolphin version, that did not happen.  What you were offered was the means to make D6 do what you needed it to do, meaning your communications system/profiles set up as you needed them, for free.  Oops, guess you forgot to mention that part.  However, you never even saw it work, as you were never given the URL because you never asked.  Boy am I glad I didn't spend the time to put the work in for you.  And if I recall, that was months ago when certain individuals were screaming and throwing temper tantrums over D7 not being released with so they could start their project. 

Finally, in closing, it seems that you wish to make individuals believe that every post I make as of lately is direct at you.  It's not, perhaps that is some part of your desire to feel special and important, not sure and don't really care.  I've been watching you attempt to bait/troll me over the past week and it's not going to work.  Perhaps if you think I provide so little help, you can take a look at your own posting history and show where you have been actually digging into the code to find solutions to problems.  No, I don't mean testing out what someone else is posting to see if it works for you.  You've spend an incredible amount of time accusing HL of being mean to you and that got you nowhere (this includes months of jumping his case because he didn't have a production site as you would put it, straight up I still don't see one out of you), you've spend an incredible amount of time posting about how Dolphin 7 doesn't meet your needs because it doesn't do this or doesn't do that and it's gotten you nowhere.  How about you take that alleged silicone valley (pun intended) experience of yours and place it into motion by writing the code to do what you want and knock off the attempts to troll people on here who have no interest in you. 

And Robbie, little boy, if I wanted to compete with you directly, I would and I guarantee you I'd blow away anything you can do by comparison.  It's called skill, creativity, marketing and much more.  Heck, one only has to look at your alleged splash page to see the amount of chaos that resides in your site.  It's blatantly obvious that your more concerned with filling a page up than you are in making it actually useful.  Now bug off, your whiney attempts to troll are getting extremely old, much like you.

Fine, if you really want me to, mydatery, I will post the threatening messages you have been sending to my email so people will know your true character.   Going to my profile 20 times a day isn't going to gain you anything nor is what seems to be your full time job mocking and insulting people on this forum.  Did you ever consider that could be the reason you are so unaccomplished?  I'll say it once again - get some professional mental health help - you need it badly.

hi, can anyone help me please, when a user logs in, how do i get it to show a newsfeed like you get in facebook, for example, Person A has added Person B as a friend, or, Person A has commented on Person B's profile...etc etc

any ideas? your help would be great!!!
