Chat/IM/Webcam

My chat room works fine, but here are things that don't work properly:

1. In the IM, if you select 'switch to video messenger' and have its IM chat windows up, there is no such 'Video Cast' button to press to play the cam (per the Help instruction which may require an update), so cannot do webcam chat.

2. The webcam doesn't have any button to play it in the Chat room either.

3. If you click all except the 'Send File' button, it closes the Messenger window and switches to the site page without URL/toolbar of the browser (on FF) which requires the user to reopen the messenger window again to resume his/her chatting. I think those buttons(Profile, Music, and Video) should open a new window when clicked without interrupting the messenger window.

4. People disappear from chatters list while in chat room (its very sporadic).

Anyone encountering the same issues?

You  don't have RMS and I doo... You don't have RMS and I doo... You don't have RMS and I doo...

Perhaps you should get an RMS Connection.  That usually fixes this issue!

Look around, there are a few who lease them out.  Terabyte-Hosting.com will even include it with their hosting package.

Terabyte Hosting Solutions also offers a stand-alone media server package. Yes, this topic is now an advertisement for DosDawg's web hosting company.

Your Chat will work fine without RMS,  it just won't have access to Video, file sharing or music - Which is your issue.

Double check that you've set Dolphin's RMS settings correctly in the administration menu........ select Modules > Flash Apps > Click Settings and make sure you have ticked "Use RMS" then double check that your RMS address and port settings match those given to you by your hosting company.  Once those are setup the video/music and file sharing features should become active.

Hello. Can these links mentioned be edited,  or is this embedded into the flash files? I too would like to have those links open in a new window by default.. Is this something that may be changed in a a/v chat update of something?
