Chat room in own window?

Ok, so my members are complaing about being in the chat room, but when they are going back to the home page to see whos online, they lose the chat room.

SO, is there a way that I can put the chatroom in its own popup window, so that my members are free to interact with the rest of the site?

I checked the forums, couldnt find what i was looking for

Go to navigation builder and choose the link to the chatroom - then edit it - simply select target window - new.

This will open chat up in new window.

this does not seem to work for me, i went to the navigation builder, clicked the first block that says Chat

when it opens i set target window to new and it still opens into the same window.
