Chat room removed after a server reboot

Hello,

I have an issue with the chat rooms which I created with an admin or moderator account. My rooms are always accessible even with 0 member in the room.

If i restart the server, I lost all my rooms and I have to re-create them. But if I re-create them with the same name, I have a message error : error while creating new room. I have to clean the table RayChatRooms in the database in order to be able to re-create my room in chat admin

In the chat settings, "remove empty rooms created by regular users" is unchecked

My Dolphin version is 7.0.9 with RMS_7.0.4

Do you have this issue and a solution?

Thank you

Alex.

Hello

After RMS was restarted try to reconnect Flash Apps with it via Dolphin admin panel -> modules -> Flash Apps -> settings tab. You need to do the following:

1. Uncheck "Use RMS" checkbox and click Save button.

2. Open Settings popup again.

3. Check  "Use RMS" checkbox and click Save button.

In this case RMS should reload rooms from Dolphin's DB.

However I didn't hear about such problem before.

I do the following : if I un-check and then re-check "Use RMS", my room disappears. On the other side, I have no more message error when I re-create it.

I check the database and I can see the row of my room.

I feel RMS don't load datas in database ... But I don't understand why ...

I have an other question in relation with  this manipulation ... If I un-check "Use RMS", I should normaly not have access to chat (because I can access to it) ?

I return to what I say ... If I uncheck "Use RMS" I can see the room which I created. If I check it again, the room disappears. Should I leave this box unchecked?

Hello

Rooms should be reloaded if you uncheck -> save ->check -> save "Use RMS" setting. If some error is appeared then you should see error message in popup. Also you may run RMS in verbose mode (using red5.sh) and check the log while changing "Use RMS" setting.

If you uncheck Use RMS then Chat and the other Flash Apps are working without audio/video settings. It means that they doesn't connect to RMS at all. In this case the data is taken from DB directly. If you don't need Audio/Video then you may uncheck "Use RMS" and use Flash Apps in "lite mode".

Hello,

Rooms should be reloaded if you uncheck -> save ->check -> save "Use RMS" setting. If some error is appeared then you should see error message in popup. Also you may run RMS in verbose mode (using red5.sh) and check the log while changing "Use RMS" setting

That's I do. And I can't see my room if  "Use RMS" is checked. I have no error returned, my RMS seems working (I can use audio/video in chat) when "Use RMS" is checked .

I take a look in red5.log and I see this lines

[RAY notification - Chat.getRooms] Input data doesn't contain information about rooms
[RAY notification - Chat.requestRooms] got info from: mysite.com
[RAY notification - Global.leave] Connection to Global closed. And just before, I see HTML code of the index page of my modem/router (my server is at home). I think red5 try to load data on the bad IP (my modem/router instead of my server).

I try to edit hosts file by adding the local IP of my server to my domain, but I've got always this problem.

In fact, I need audio and video so RMS need to be activated...

It was a network problem.

with ssh on the server, I do a wget -O - -U "test_website"  http://www.mywebsite.com

and I did not see my index page of my website but an other page instead (my router).

I had to edit /etc/hosts and to add

xx.xx.xx.xx www.mywebsite.com #xx.xx.xx.xx is my local IP

...Rebooting server ... The issue is solved. Cool
