Confused about facebook connection.

How does exactly work? By what I have see for now, there is no way to link a certain profile to a facebook profile. If an already established member with an existing profile tries to sign in with the facebook credentials, it creates another profile - with no connection to the old one.

Am I doing something wrong?

Anyone?

Nope, your doing nothing wrong. The current boonex module does not allow members or admin to set the FB id field on existing accounts.

You can set these yourself manually for the member by putting their facebook ID into the database

Table is Profile. Field used is FacebookProfile

Goodness, You are just full of questions today.. LOL.. Ok you can fix this by doing the following:

Go here:

http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/browser/trunk/modules/boonex/facebook_connect/classes

Click on each of the php files, scroll to the bottom and choose "original format" under Download in other formats:

Once you have downloaded all 5 of them, upload them into your /modules/boonex/facebook_connect/classes via FTP and overwrite your current ones.

Clear your cache.

Now your members who join via Facebook Connect can now edit their profiles and not create a duplicate account the next time they login.

Man, Your bill is starting to grow big time.. LOL
