Create new block

How the hell do I create a new block while I am in the page builder page?

The hell you say?

Build the new page and it automatically adds it as a new page block. Refresh the page builder page after you are done and it will show up in the list.

I know this cuz I just did it like 100 times yesterday till I got it right. I can also tell you how to delete the ones you screw up. (LOLOL)

No one encountered this issue before? strange. I would think there would a New Item block on all pages.

to add a new block to the homepage, you navigate to the pagebuilders and select the home page, there should be an HTML block at the bottom, drag that HTML block up to the column where you want the block to appear on the site.

click on the word HTML BLOCK or whatever it says, and provide the information you want the block to have.

*NOTE* need to use FireFox, IE does not like the admin panel

and what if the "html block" at the bottom does not exsist? which in my case it does not, what does one do?

DosDawg is correct. I just tried it and it worked. In admin just go to Builders -> Pages Block -> Select your page from the menu - > Drag the HTML block to the column you need it -> Double click on the HTML block link to edit it.

hmmmm if it doesnt exist, then i suppose you cant do what i was suggesting. however, you can do a sql injection and get this back into the database in the pagecompose, which i doubt its still called pagecompose in D7 that is a D6 term, hmmmmm, i will have to investigate this, but i can assure you all is not lost, we can get you a new block.

romeo, it was not stated nor was there any screen shot provided with the fact that you were "missing" the html block and rss block from the inactive items area.

if somebody can jump on this quicker than me, please provide romeo an answer, if not romeo, i will be back later with an answer, as i will need to run some diags on this to be able to provide a solid answer.

in the meantime, if you want to peruse the tutorials that brother james tadeo has provided look for the tutorial on how to create a php block, i know you may  not want a  php block, but its the same scenario, just wont need to edit the one area that tweaks the block for php.
