Cron Job-Godaddy

So I am on shared hosting on godaddy (I know terrible) I need to stay there for a couple of 3 more months ( I pre paid for a year)

Here is the issue, Their cron jobs can only be set up to run every 5 minutes. In the install instructions it says to run them every minute, so of course every 5 can not be acceptable.

The customer service advice was to write a script that would call the cron jobs every minute. Does any one have any pointers on A) is this even possible and B) if yes its possible How... Would be willing to pay a small amount for short term fix if necessary./

Thanks

I would like to know where you found the cron job to run every 5 mins at godaddy?  Hmm please share as ALL I could find was every 30 minutes and that is the best they can do?  Hmm where did you find every 5 minutes?

Click the run twice an hour button-Custom...That cron will run twice then add the same cron job again running on different time..

fleatrax,

try mrp with this inquiry. he would be the one that could knock it out rather quickly.

P.S. better suggestion would be to get off the GD server :)

Thanks DosDawg....As for changing hosts, thats coming for sure. The tried upselling to VPS but once I am ready for that it wont be with them...

I am using a hybird system right now for my other companies banner games....We use the Amazon could...Do you think a hybird system would work for dolphin or would the 24 hour propagation be an issue?
