Cron Job Issue in Dolphin 7.0.9 (also update status issue)

Hi all i recently downloaded and installed 7.0.9 and i can't seem to get the cron job to work at all.

I have used dolphin 7.0.3 and 7.0.8 and never had a single problem with anything.

But anyway when i installed 7.0.9 it told me to setup this cron job:

cd /home/xxxxx/public_html/xxxxx/periodic/; /usr/bin/php -q cron.php (I don't get any emails telling me it is working out anyhting)

I have also tried

/home/xxxxx/public_html/xxxxx/periodic/; /usr/bin/php -q cron.php (I get an email but it says /bin/sh: /home/xxxxx/public_html/xxxxx/periodic/: is a directory, No input file specified.)

/home/xxxxx/public_html/xxxxx/periodic/cron.php (I get an email but it says  Permission Denied)

I also tried /usr/local/bin/php -q home/xxxxx/public_html/xxxxx/periodic/cron.php (I do no even get an email)

Also i have an issue with update status whenever i try from my profile or the update status button on the user bar it will never update.

Please note i have tried /usr/bin/php and /usr/local/bin/php and there are the two main places where my php is  installed i know this as i am admin of the server i am on, lastly i have blanked out my site with xxxx to keep it more private.

Also i have an issue with update status whenever i try from my profile or the update status button on the user bar it will never update.

Please could you help.

Thanks

Email is send in a case of some problem, if you receive nothing by email then it is working.

Cron is run every minute, so if it would send email each time - guess what ?

But emails is still send upon some cron execution, but it happens if there is anything to notify you about.

Just upload a video or put an email in the mass mailer... if the video processes or the emails get sent out your cron is working.

Right yea i need alittle help.

The Flash uploader is not working at all, gives me a http 404 error and i checked the forums and any of the solutions i have found don't seem to fix the issue. but the normal uploader seems fine.

Also when i upload any sounds or Videos there do not seem to process, when it uploads to the site i click on the sounds or video and the flash player does not load up and the lengh of the sound or video stays at 00:00 all the time i have waited hours and nothing has happened.

I do have ffmpeg on my server i was also woundering instead of using the ffmpeg, exe if i could use that instead, also please note the ffmpeg is on chmod 777, also i have a centOS 6 server with cpanel.

Also lastly i noticed that the update status in the userbar and on my profile would not work, whenever i try to update and hit enter it just stay there and would not update, any advice on this?

Thanks in advance.
