That would be correct :)

Also remember, if there is nothing to "process" its not hurting it to run like * * * * *

Thank you for contacting Advanced Hosting Support.

Thank you for bringing to our attention the issue with CRONjobs on your ...................... hosting account.  The error message that you reference is a known message that occurs when on a PHP5 configuration as your account is.  The message is not an error that affects any functionality and will not cause any problems.  We did look into CRONs not running and we have restart CRON and verified with a test CRONjob that we created they are functioning properly now.  We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

don't forget you can run the cron job manually every 5 sec .. lol :)

These are the notes from the Godaddy Cron Manager.

==================
"The installed versions of PHP 4 and PHP 5 do not support the interpreter
specification in a PHP file. In order to run a PHP script via Cron, you must
specify the interpreter manually. For example:

* PHP 4: /web/cgi-bin/php "$HOME/html/test.php"
* PHP 5: /web/cgi-bin/php5 "$HOME/html/test.php5"

Note: In this example script, "$HOME" represents the full path to your
Shared Hosting account. The actual path to your account will be provided if
you select the script from your account using the Browse button."
=================

Maybe show this to the forum, it might trigger some thoughts.

ok would this be correct and this part of it is like a root canal for me.......

I honestly have no idea how GoDaddy sets up their servers. All I can suggest is trying different combinations, etc.

Yeah, that didn't help.

i already gave you the info
/web/cgi-bin/php5 -q /home/content/your/path/html/periodic/cron.php
and yes you'll still get the e-mail with that error nothing you can do about it it's just the way they have it setup

Quote · 5 Mar 2010

Yes and I tried that and it still doesn't work that's why I am asking if this line is correct?

*****/web/cgi-bin/php5 -q /home/content/mycommunity/html/periodic/cron.php

maybe you didn't see that? This is what I am using and it still doesn't work.........That might as well be in Spanish to me as I don't understand this part at all........I assume that code does the conversion to a flash file no matter how the video comes to it?????

the thing I don't understand in that line is    your/path why is there a / in there?  and is mine correct above?

/web/cgi-bin/php5 -q /home/content/your/path/html/periodic/cron.php
mine is
/web/cgi-bin/php5 -q /home/content/01/00xxx/html/periodic/cron.php

Ok I found that where you pointed me and there is along address there as well as the numbers

xx/xxxxxxxxxx    do i need to plug in the entire address or just the numbers?

Csampson

So the answer to that question is yes you I needed to post the entire address........in order to get it to process.... All I know is that is what I did went to bed and woke up wondering if the video would process when I woke up.  Well it had and when I got the e-mail with quite a bit of what this cron job does I guess I knew I had it right............The video's play now but I am not happy with the quality of the play back is there a way to step up the quality of the play back?
