Crossing the databases

I am creating two dating websites.  I want to be able to have an option on the Join page that people will be able to check off that will create the same profile on another site.  Both using Dolphin 7.  Is this do-able and is there a mod out there?

Thanks

No one has done this before?

It seems like a comon' practice for dating sites.

No. I don't believe anyone has done this before. Never seen it asked until now. It is a very unusual request.

You will need to post a request for a custom job in the jobs section of the site. What you want will require quite a bit of work.

And actually the common thing among dating sites is mutipal sites sharing the same member database. Your request is to have a signup on one site automatically add the same member to another site. The concept is different.

However, dolphin is not designed to do either. The practice is common for affiliate dating sites in which the parent provides a rebrandable script or rebrandable hosted solution where all rebranded sites share the same database. Dolphin however is not designed to do that.

Someone wrote a blog post a few months back about this. I'll look around for it.

Theres a mod on market that allows cross database

This sets up so you can have 2 sites that sync to the same database.

Member joins 1, and also becomes a member of the others.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
