Customizing Promo "Picture loader"

Hi,

just want to customize the promo picture loader...here is a pic:

Number 1:

how can i delete this space ? Which file and line do i have to modify ? There should be max. 2 lines between the promo and the block below.

Number 2:

How can i resize the promo block (width) so that its dimensions are the same like the left block below the promo ?

Number 3:

My intentions are to move, after the promo block is being resized and on the left side, like the block below, the _live_join block upwards so that it will be in the same line like the promo block. Where should i change this now ?

Does someone know a solution for this ?

1. If you haven't already done so, find the firefox browser with google and install it.

2. Then find the firebug add-on by searching for ... firebug for firefox ... and install it.

3. Using Firefox, now right click ANYWHERE on any of your pages, followed by selecting the option to inspect that element.

4. Look to your right, everything that has to do with that particular element will be shown right there.

5. For additional questions in the forum, try to stick to one single issue at a time and ask a question specific that that one issue. This is also important for other members because when you keep your questions specific to individual single items, it will at the same time help other members who are finding your posts with the search function. Example: How do I remove the space that's shown in #1 of my screenshot?

For people who are die-hard IE7 or IE8 or other browser users ... this has nothing to do with promoting Firefox, but rather, providing you with the ability to use the most helpful tool there is (firebug) when you're working on css, php, html, and other types of files. This tool only works with firebug. Besides, wouldn't you want your pages to appear correctly in the second most widely used browser too (hundreds of millions of users worldwide)?

The only one that is left is...

How and where do i change the width of the "Promo Block" so that "Number 3" (in the picture above) moves upwards and will be next to the promo block like now next to the "blank block" below the red "1" ?

If you're not a coder that is far more complex since you're trying to split up the assigned promo space into two sections, keeping one of them alive (for lack of better words) while doing whatever you want in the other portion (number 3) of that block. If you know how to do decent image work you can try the solution that I choose. I recreated my promo images altogether ... first making them smaller ... secondly copying them onto a full size promo background ... followed thirdly by adding "other stuff" to the free portion of space that I had generated with my image. It fakes the space that you need for number 3 without being too complicated to achieve ... if you can do decent image work.
