Um, I think you're supposed to actually change that, hence the term 'New Item"

He means, you should be changing items from the administration panel, not database. Once a new profile field item is created, you can modify it by clicking on its name. A window will appear were you can make changes to the item, such as names and functions.

I think you are talking about the fact that even when renamed the "new item" is renamed in the input fields but on the button itself it is still named New Item.  I wonder if they made that move retroactive and simply renamed them back to new item?  even though they have been renamed to whatever you named them.  In other words they have LOCKED the ability to rename that button as far as the system goes to anything but New Item......I hope that is what you are talking about Bc half the time I can't understand what you are asking......

look. in my PhpMyAdmin under :"profile" i have this NEW_ITEM from the old DB i uploaded after i install the new D7.0.1:

BodyHair  HivStattos  RelationshipStatus  HivCheck  Smoke  SexualPosition  HairColor  EyeColor  child  ReligionAffinity  Alcohol  PersonalityQuality

now when i go to the Admin> Builders> profile fields. i just do not see all these NEW_ITEM.

here the picture from my PhpMyAdmin and from profile fields:

Ok thank you for showing the pictures which help people understand what you are asking.  I think Magnasoft nailed this one in the fact that it seems as if there is a breakdown in the order of how you added these fields.  I can tell you I have doctored so many new fields from the admin section and when i added the patch all those fields still carried forward.  I assume and you know what people say about that but it seems like you had to add the fields manually to the database and not from the admin section therefore the buttons would not be visible.   No matter how you slice it those fields do not exist now for your join form so to me that only leaves one choice...........That is to reconstruct them IN THE ADMIN SECTION OF THIS SITE.........Or you can hope and pray they will reappear at some point in the future.  If it were me i would be recreating them...... BUT I would ask the other guys if you will have to remap them somehow to go to the appropriate fields if they info in them in your database........
