It took about 2 or 3 weeks of long hours but it finally works.
The key to solve most if not all problems was installing the IIRF DLL and BUILDING the IIRF.INI prior to install DOLPHIN, or before installing any modules. Otherwise, everything crashes.
It is now looking pretty nice. Good work folks at BOONEX, I am very happy with the quality of the application but NOT TOTALLY HAPPY about the SPEED. It is still a litlle bit slow. I now have to concentrate in how to make it work a little bit faster.
My setup is this:
- Windows Server 2003 with IIRF installed, otherwise DOLPHIN will not work.
- IIS 6.0 with FastCGI installed ( there is a manual step to follow from the IIRF installation)
- PHP for Windows 5.x
- I also have a Fedora Linux 15 box running in parallel with MySQL 5.x.x wich holds the database
- I also have a third Windows XP for development from where I control both servers Windows and Linux
I am sure that I can translate the SQL script and it should run fine in MS-SQL as well. But my experience tells me that MySQL works a lot faster than MS-SQL, so, i don;t see the need to translate anything. Having a linux box in the network is great!
