DOLPHIN 7 < DOLPHIN 8. Will it UPGRADE...

I REALLY need to know if D7 will be a straight upgrade to D8 

Will this keep my current userbase, content etc... OR will it be a completely new script that will not simply upgrade...

Im not referring to mods, as this will be down to mod makers and Im sure will be updated.

Ive been developing a site for quite a long time, for proper business use, and am just about to launch. 

Last thing I want is to launch then D8 get released and the damn thing not upgrade!!!

as far as i understand it right D7 will upgrade to D8 without problems ...

I would think it's another migration, but it's too early to tell.  There's no reason to rush.  v7 should continue to be supported after v8.
