Database Help

Fro some reason my database on my D7 install is corrupt is there an easy way to fix it???  I don't want to re-install and make everyone register again...  It doesn't even do the backup....

phpAdmin or your Cpanel should have a 'repair database' option.  Or ask your hosting provider.  You should be able to do a 'dump' of your database to your local computer (like a backup).  Do a DUMP  NOT a DROP!...

no backups i presume? if you have cpanel you should first thing once you do get your site back online is setup automated backups. you can also grab mysqladministrator, set yourself up on a remote connection to 3306, and setup a scheduler for the database backup.

other than that, see if you can save any of the tables, in order for the tables to be corrupt the data would need to show corruption, i would tend to believe.

now the troopers way of doing this would be to install /d7 on a subdirectory take the profile tables and all other user relevant tables and one by one drop them into the new database, backing up each time, and if in fact you do have a corrupt database, which is most likely not the case, as much as it is there were some changes made, and those changes are still hanging in the cache.

cant say really without knowing what you were doing when the BRB (big red box) showed up.
