 The default Banners mod under Tools. Is it just for text ads? as I can't understand where to place the banner URL link. I also don't understand what the 2 sets of Vshift and Hshift mean, I thought they may be to the folder path on my server where I have my banners but that didn't work. The only thing that seems to be working there and being displayed is a text ad.

The default Banner system hasn't seen much improvement in years and is limited in functionality. There are quite a few third party modules that offer improved functionality.
