Default Friends for All Members

Need to do away with the step where members must send / accept friend requests.  Would like to have new members  automatically be "Friends" with all members upon joining.

Anyone know how to do this?

What if they don't want to be friends?

Then they shouldn't join

I'll just add, my site revolves around everyone on it being friends or being able to share information with all other members.

So they join, and have to share personal information with complete strangers, whether they like it or not?  The other choice is not to join.

What if the site was not planned to be a new Facebook?

I am building a corporate network for the company I work in. A mod that could make a new employee friends with all 50~150 coleagues upon join would not be creepy, but necessary for members to see who is online and chat with them without having to send friend requests and waiting for them to answer.
