Default Privacy Settings

I may be a complete idiot, but where do you set the default profile privacy settings? I want the default to be Friends... I've looked everywhere. Can anyone tell me? Thanks.

is there no way in the admin panel to set new users to have a default privacy setting to memebrs only when joining?

i cannot see it in the admin panel of demo at all.
