Deleted Spammers, But They Still Appear In Admin

I have abotu 30 spammers from india placing their classified ads on the site.

I blocked the IP's from India and deleted their PROFILES in the admin.

But they still appear in the admin area in gray.  It this supposed to happen?

No, when you delete a member from admin it should be gone completely. The only time members should be in gray is if they aren't activated yet. Try putting a check beside them and hitting delete again.

I just read another post where someone stated they can only delete one member at a time, you might have the same problem. Try and only delete one of them and then refresh the page and see if they are gone.

I can confirm what mscott says is true.

I have found that they are grey when they have not clicked the confirm link in the confirmation email, I hve also found that when you delete a member and that member re joins they tend to be greyed out

go into your database and delete the accounts and the id thats what i would try although i dont use this software
