Is the desktop.air available for Mac or just windows ?

Windows only .exe file should have told you that :) 

I get user authentication failed ! any idea ? using 7.1.6

Sorted out :)  If anyone else still have a problem  to open desktop app while they have HTTPS , they need to go to Programe files in there PC and find their --- > Site.com folder click on it and look for file url.js , open that file with notepad and change your url http to https and save it .
