Didn't there used to be a "Advertise" page?

Seems to me there used to be a Advertising page in the system, for a site owner to put advertising details, etc.  Is this option no more?

If so, how are you guys handling this issue? Just creating a new page?

Could you be more specific?  Did you mean the banner advertising manager? - or the classified ads?  Sites module?

In version 6.1.x, across the top of the page, was a text based navigation table.  In that table, there was a text link for a page for advertising on the specific site.  The entire text nav is gone, so, no more link to the "Advertise" page.

So my question is, how are some of you detailing advertising options for your sites using D7?  Are you creating a page and linking to it somehow? Maybe in the footer text nav?

go to administration>builders>navigation menu and check if you have taken it out, or move it to the visible part of the menu.

I don't even see the page as an option in the list.  These items are for the nav buttons I think, not the nav section that used to be at the very top that was all text links, above the header area.

what about 'Ads' on the right hand side in line 9. It used to be "classifieds" before in the older version I think.

Well, ads, formerly known as classifieds, is for members posting there own listings.  I was talking about the old page that was for me (as the site owner) to post information about people wanting to place advertising banners or links on my site.  Totally different thing.

I don't remember it - sounds like a good idea though.  Are you sure it wasn't a page someone made?   If your D6 site is still up, could you post a screenshot of this page.

Look up at the very top of the page, you'll see the text links.  I removed the advertise link from this one, and have no clue what the admin log in is to restore it.  But at least you can see the text navigation area I am refering to.

Right - I already knew what a D6 menu looks like - I wanted to see an example of that "advertising" page, as I don't remember it.
