Disabling Email Messages

We have two levels of users. Standard and Plus.

Standard users have the Dolphin email system not available to them.

Here is theproblem. When they click on the email icon, they can spend quite a bit of time composing an email. Click send, only to realize that it did not go.

It seems to me that Dolphin should have the email icon grayed out so people don't spend a lot of time composing emails wondeing why they never sent. (I am solving this by Changing the "Your message was never sent" to bold red.

But I can see some real heartache here with people spending time composing an email that they think will be delivered.

Is there a better way to adresss this?

Thanks!

Peer
