Displaying membership level or status in profile

How can I fix it so that each member's membership level is displayed in the view of their profile for everyone to see?

Dig into the member.php and you can backtrace the code they use there to determine the membership level.  Simply make a php code to call those functions in a PHP block to display it in profile page.

Has anyone found a solution to this yet?

I emailed Anton about this very topic the other day and he said that hw would create a blog post with instructions on how to do this. I guess it must be a low priority item as it has yet to appear.

It is strange that tthis is not a standard featureas it is on EVERY OTHER SITE that uses different membership levels.

I even wrote to Andrew about this in the hope it may be included with the release of D7.0.1. He replied saying it was a good idea........well of course it is. How else are paying members supposed to know who the other paying members are?

It ain't rocket science. This really should be a standard feature and should be visible in many areas of the site such as:

  • all searches
  • member browse pages
  • all profile pages

I have just sent Anton another email requesting this be sorted asap.

Another handy feature would be to be able to have way of informing the paying member that the IM they are trying to send id not going to work if they try to contact a standard member.

Once again, not rocket science....lol!
