Do you Boonex Know???

I am realy piss off with you Boonex!!! Did you know that the country named "Yugoslavia" dont exist any more for allmost 20 years??? You put other former Yugoslav country ok, like Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia but do you know that is the two more remain country??? Serbia and Montenegro, this is realy not nice off you and i start to think that you dont have Geographic in your school... Shame on you... This is direct insult for all members off your product who are from Serbia and Montenegro. I mean, 20 years are past since that country dont exist in the world map, not two month... Good bye

I don't think they've actually updated the country list in years, to be honest. At least you can edit the list for yourself, but they should update it to be with the times.

If i update the name for the country, some features like World Map dont work correctly... For example: i change that string in predefined values, but when you go to profile map... i am from Africa...

At least you can say you've been places. :p

Maybe one of the Pundits will be kind enough to  create a ticket in Trac for this.  It's definitely an issue that needs to be resolved, and yes, it's a bug, not a feature. 

1.  Country List is inaccurate, severely inaccurate.

2.  When modifying it via the Pre-Defined Lists Errors Occur

3.  While your at it, fix that stupid issue of us not being able to select the country  that we WANT at the top. 

4.  All country lists site wide should pull from 1 ("ONE") DB Table.  Not some from the DB Tables and some from the source files.

I don't know what that list is, but in addition to missing countries like Serbia and Montenegro, it has several volcanic islands near Antarctica - at least one of which is uninhabited.   I don't get too many members from around there.  What's wrong with the United Nations list? - that would pare it down to 192.

The list they used is a list you can find on the net, and many other scripts or programs use it. 
Only this is never updated so far I know :)

As for me, I didn't delete Yougoslavia from the countries list because it is used by some profiles of my site... but I added the "new" countries to the list (I did that directly within the database).

Michael, problem is for example: World Map dont want to work since the Google Map is update they list of country and put international code for Serbia (SR) and in the base of the dolphin script SR code is for Surinami so i am from Surinami... Funy...

@Mydatery.  Absolutely it should pull from one country table- that is database management 101.  You can create a big mess by just deleting "countries" you don't want - like Vatican City or Antarctica.  Yes, of course we should be able to select whatever we want for the default value, but we also need the option to have an empty value - a problem many of us tried to persuade Boonex to fix: http://www.boonex.com/unity/forums/#topic/Drop-Down-Menu-Select-It.htm
Maybe now that they are calling this D7 we will be able to convince them to fix this and add other features we lost from D6.

SR is Suriname, RS is Serbia... ME is Montenegro, HR is Croatia. Looks like Kosovo is not yet a country and doesn't have any code.

Ok, ste by step:

1.  Country List is inaccurate, severely inaccurate.

Will correct countries list according info from ISO site http://www.iso.org/iso/country_codes/iso_3166_code_lists.htm

2.  When modifying it via the Pre-Defined Lists Errors Occur - what changes did u try to make and what errors appeared?

3. While your at it, fix that stupid issue of us not being able to select the country  that we WANT at the top - join and profile edit pages also search fields have options to choice necessary country by default. All list were ordered by first letters ascending so "necessary countries at the top variant" isn't possible now.

4. All country lists site wide should pull from 1 ("ONE") DB Table. Not some from the DB Tables and some from the source files.

Plz specify "problem" parts in D7.
