Do you need paypal to setup the store feature?

I have dolphin 7 beta and was curious if you have to have any account like paypal to enable the use of the store feature? I know it may be a dumb question, but i don't want to enable a function that does not work because i can't accept credit card transactions through my own account. Is there a particular way i need to set this feature up? Also, is there a way to test the store without making a real purchase?

Hello? Anyone care to take a stab at this?

In order for the Store to work, you must install the Payment module. With this being said, you DO NOT have to configure the Payment module with your PayPal settings, but all the users will be able to do is "Add to Cart". In order to actually accept a payment, the Payment module will need to be configured.

the payment module for the admin will need to be setup. as for the users, and i didnt get a real grasp on this one yet, but your users will also be required to put their paypal information in the cart if they opt to use that feature.

the payment module from paypal is still quirky at best, but it does process a payment, on membership levels it does not upgrade to the next level, and that has been an issue historically.

paypal does have a sandbox developers account you can sign up for and dance around with that feature from paypal. otherwise, set the product price at a quarter or something, have your mother in law make a few purchases and when the payments process, you can just refund whatever is sent to you.

i was testing the store, but moved onto other things.
