Does the IP blacklist even work?

I've added an IP address to deny, but they can still access the site and join, does this tool even work?

Is the spam coming from the same IP?

Yes, So I didn't  block the IP range, just the one ip. It didn't work, so I had to do it in the .htaccess.

I noticed the same issue. Just checked it off as another one of the many things that just doesnt function in D7.

What is your "IP List Type" ? by default it is 0 - disabled, so all rules are totally ignored.

To change this setting option, go to Dolphin Admin Panel -> Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Security -> IP List Type (1 - all allowed except listed, 2 - all blocked except listed, 0 - disabled)

Seems like this control "IP List Type" option should be on the "IP Blacklist System" page..

This is the first time I have noticed that setting. Have been fighting and double checking IP addresses from day one thinking I was doing something wrong.

Wouldn't it make sense for the options for this be on the actual page where your adding IP's you want blocked or apporoved?

I have said the same thing atleast 10 times before.  if you have a setting that controls something why have it in an odd ball place.

I have my list type set to 1, and it STILL doesn't work. You will see in the photo, i tried to add a fake ip, it shows as all zeros. I THEN tried to add a proxy ip, one I was going to add, then try to get on the site with, IT TOO is showing as all zeros. The IP I  entered, the proxy ip, is 168.8.76.246. It's a working proxy, so why when I enter it, does it show as all zeros? If tihs doesn't block proxy IP's, then it's a totally useless feature.

There is bug on 32bit servers with adding IP greater than 127.0.0.0, so 168.8.76.246 is in range which may cause problems. This bug was fixed in the latest version, so please upgrade to the latest 7.0.7 version and try to add this ip again.
