Dolphin 6.1.5 IM stuck on "loading"

Hi, i just upgraded from dolphin 6.1.2 to 6.1.5 and ray IM gets stuck on "loading"

Music, videos and chat work ok, but not IM.

How can i pinpoint the problem?

Any help would be much appreciated.

i don't know the answer, but i was hoping if you can tell me how the upgrade went for you from 6.1.2 to 6.1.5. i am scared not to redo all my mods, and also do manual transfer of my 200 users (did that on my last upgrade...pain in the neck). Did you have any major issue, or did it go smoothly? kindly appreciate it for info.

not so smooth.. IM still gets stuck on "loading" I had to overwrite the 6.1.5 ray/IM folder with the 6.1.2 one, so i guess  its a bug on the 6.1.5 IM.

also my spanish language got all fuked up..

I dont  get how they can say 6.1.5 will be the "LAST" release before version 7 and a week after that they have to announce a 6.1.6, prolly a 6.1.7 after that one too...i would wait if you already have 6.1.2 running smoothly

I had this issue in 6.1.4 and still have it in 6.1.5 and nobody was able to fix it. My IM never worked, and nobody was able to give me a clue. The nice guys from Terabyte who are hosting my RMS did everything they could and had to give up.

You say you fixed it by overwriting with 6.1.2 settings? I'd be tempted to try that but I don't know where to get the 6.1.2 as I started in january with 6.1.4.

I checked my IM in 6.15 and it doesn't work either. There is a bug thread on the Unity homepage right now where Boonex has asked for bug reports so they can be fixed in the upcoming 6.16 patch.

I reported this, but it probably wouldn't hurt if others said they were having the same issues.

IM is broken for me too.

Broken for me also, and I can't even put tickets in on Trac, go figure another Boonex issue that should have never happened, I am getting so frustrated with this software it's unreal.  There are things in there that don't work, or are not complete, and then a patch is released with broken software in it.

Yes overwrite, 6.1.2 ray/modules/IM folder to the 6.1.5 one. At least that fixed it for me.

Boonex banner on bottom shows up tho.

I did the overwrite with 6.12 and that didn't work either. I used the ad-free version though.

Yes its not working for me as well.. When do you think we will get the next update?

I'm also having this issue no matter which browser I use. It began after I upgraded to 6.1.5 and is still happening after the 6.16 patch. There must be a reason and a fix for this issue.

After installing 6.16 fresh, my IM started working. Maybe try replacing your IM folder with the one provided in the 6.16 (full) download.

 Think I'll give that a try.. Han't considered dling the full 6.1.6 and using those files.

Was worth a try, no joy though. Just sits at the loading screen.

 Although when I looked it did have to many ../s that I did not add,  changing it did not make the IM work.

I'm digging into this today. What I see so far is when I click on someone to im them it is getting the wrong profile id. When I click to im john-doe who's profile id is 14 the im is trying to open an im with profile id 7. Along with this is the error

Compiling the language file repaired the id mix up, The error remains though.

There are people in presence .. when I click to chat with someone online the window hangs and sits loading,  never opens the actual chat. It is indeed stuck there.

Your upgrade was corrupt.

when did you do the upgrade.   the packages get updated with fixes without a public announcement

try a fresh copy and compare yours with the new one you get today

id 1 is open in IE an id 2 is open on FF

user id were messed up now try simply clearing cache from all logging out logging in. If its not a caching prob then I would get new files app/user.swf and inc/constants.inc for im

Must be getting closer.  I downloaded and  tried new files, I had already cleared the cache but I went to clear again. It showed 16 user ids. I cleared it and and refreshed my browsers to test the im. It put 6 users back in cache that are not logged in. I refreshed user id 1 account page, put another 6 users in the cache that aren't logged in. These users show as online in my im although they aren't really logged in.

Should I re-run the 6.4 to 6.5 upgrade and the patch followed by the 6.6 patch? I have ran these previously.

no no no......i would just overwrite the ray files form your new new new download and test

Alternatley you can restore to orig using your backups then run the upgrades from fresh downloads

Yes I do have back ups. I am seeing the same 19 users loaded in my cache when I surf the site as user id 1 even though they have not logged in.

I'm going to duplicate the website in a subfolder using a clean install and new database. I'll import my existing database fields to the new databse and see if the same error occurs.

i am having users IM one another and the person receiving gets the IM Request and accepts. Then it sits there and doesn't load for the receiver.

Other times, it works just as it should.

I was unable to resolve this problem. I had to disable the IM. I restored my site to 6.1.2 and ran all the upgrades in sequence to the latest version but the issue remains. I do have a few mods and those could be affecting the problem although previously there was no problem.

are you using the UNI theme or are you using a different theme.   if  you are using a different theme other then uni  you need to place the files in the template you are using.   what i did was place them in the uni theme and in the theme i was using just to make sure and it all seemed to work for me.

Actually I am using a custom theme .. Didn't know there was a need to move any files to the custom theme folders?
