Dolphin 7.0.8 didn't require a license to do full install, Why?

I did a manual install of  Dolphin 7.0.8  and it never asked for a license!  How can I get to accept a license with a full instillation completed? I add license after the complete I installed it through admin panel and saved it. Now license has not updated Dolphin 7.0.8 . so is there a way to do manual update on it?

My site is up and running with Dolphin 7.0.8  and no license used to have a functional website!

You don't need a license to use Dolphin.  You can add a free license to stop the script from asking for one, or add a paid license to remove the advertisements.

You can add a license via these steps:

  1. remove the current license from Administration -> Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Variables;
  2. logout of the administration panel;
  3. login to the administration panel (http://www.example.com/administration/); and
  4. enter the license when requested.

Of course, the first two steps can be ignored if a license has not already been added.

My Dolphin 7.0.8 didn't require a license to have a fully operational site!!  There is no license number installed and the site is fully operational. Dolphin 7.0.8 didn't even ask for a free license number or paid license number to be a fully operational site.

My concern is that since it did not ask for a license number, how do I get to accept one, such as a paid license, since adding a free license did not update to boonex as being registered.

Again there is no license number  installed to have a free operational site. Dolphin 7.0.8 does not update license number and this site has been running several days now without a license number installed.

Check out http://weekendspouse.weekendspouse.net and you will see this site is fully operational with no license number registered

Maybe I do not understand what you are trying to explain but did you read what Nathan stated above?

You do not need a license to have a fully functional site.  Without a license or with a Free license, you will have a Boonex Banner/text on site but website would still be fully functional.  Also, Nathan gave instructions above on how to add license if you have one.

License does no good, site is functional and license does not register as being used. This site does not accept a  required license number to function. Hey I'm no dummy when it comes to getting around in the admin panel. I have 6 sites running  Dolphin, but this is the first time I had ever seen Dolphin never ask for a license number, nor will it accept one and register on the boonex site.  So any more ideas?

Previous instillation of Dolphin 7.0.8 asked for a license when it was being installed.

I've used Dolphin since version 6.0.2 and it's never asked for a license during installation. It only asks for a license when you login the admin area.

Please stop formatting your posts like that.  It makes it hard to read.

You do not need a license to use Dolphin.  Dolphin will operate in "free mode" without the presence of a paid license.  There is also a free license available.  The free license keeps the site in "free mode," but removes the request for a license when using the administration panel.

Dolphin will only ask for a license (if one has not been added) when accessing the administration panel, either from the site, or by logging into it directly.  I don't really understand the problem, unless it's not doing either of those things.  In which case, something is wrong with your installation, or it's not from a download here.
