Forgive my lack of understanding here... but I'll be posting a job for a developer on this in the next month or two, and I need to figure out how to properly word what I'm looking for for the listing I post.
I don't need help with the theming, and I think all the mods I want to make to functionality can be taken care of by off the shelf stuff I see in the market (my site will have a news site like front page, with a site functionality similar to Meetup.com behind it... in other words nothing all that fancy and well within what Dolphin can do).
But this iframe stuff being used to take whole sections of websites and making them into Facebook app pages is what I need to hire someone to do. Just that specific thing. What I need is the portion of the site with profile pages, messaging, groups, events and forums, placed into that new Facebook app framework. Not the blog content on the front page, just those functions where people can find each other, form and find groups, schedule and find events and talk to each other.
I've seen a bunch of other sites do this (Votocracy is one... they just cut out their sidebar and the rest of their site is the Facebook app... which is essentially what I'd want to do), so I know it's possible in general, I've just not seen anyone using Dolphin do it.
So if you folks could help me with wording the eventual job posting, and give me advice on fair price range (and any related thoughts), I'd appreciate it.
