I believe deactivate is the same as disapprove.

Over then 60% here have a  troubles with cron jobs.

1. Cron jobs not installed or cron jobs installed not correct

PS: If possible do not write me personally, please try to ask on the forum first

I can see if it properly installed?

just wondering what a cron job has to do with approving or disapproving a video?

the button was actually missing previously and i recall it was supposed to be added on the next release. if you have your videos set for admin to approve, then this presents a problem because there is no approve button on the admin panel once a video is set to pending.

AlexT answer on video approval

now from his definition, and i am not sure if there is just a language barrier here, but dissaproved means exactly that it has been reviewed and has been determined that it was not suitable for the site.

then looking at the definition of 'Pending' seems to me that this would fall under processing, as the logic being not being processed would mean its being processed, not pending, pending would infer that it has been converted (processed) and is awaiting approval.

so if the site owner sets the site up in a manner that requires all videos to be approved, there is no feature that would allow such function in its correct definition.

so i took a moment to look up these terms on dictionary.com

pend·ing

/ˈpɛnthinsp.pngdɪŋ/ dictionary_questionbutton_default.gif Show Spelled[pen-ding]
–preposition
1.
while awaiting; until: pending his return.
2.
in the period before the decision or conclusion of; during: pending the negotiations.
–adjective
3.
remaining undecided; awaiting decision or settlement; unfinished: pending business; pending questions; pending litigation.
4.
about to take place; impending.

dis·ap·prove

/ˌdɪsthinsp.pngəˈpruv/ dictionary_questionbutton_default.gif Show Spelled [dis-uh-proov] verb, -proved, -prov·ing.
–verb (used with object)
1.
to think (something) wrong or reprehensible; censure or condemn in opinion.
2.
to withhold approval from; decline to sanction: The Senate disapproved the nominations.
–verb (used without object)
3.
to have an unfavorable opinion; express disapproval (usually followed by of ).

proc·ess

/ˈprɒsthinsp.pngɛs; especially Brit. ˈproʊthinsp.pngsɛs/ dictionary_questionbutton_default.gif Show Spelled [pros-es; especially Brit. proh-ses] noun, plural proc·ess·es /ˈprɒsthinsp.pngɛsthinsp.pngɪz, ‐əthinsp.pngsɪz, ‐əˌsiz or, especially Brit., ˈproʊthinsp.pngsɛs‐, ˈproʊthinsp.pngsə‐/ dictionary_questionbutton_default.gif Show Spelled[pros-es-iz, uh-siz, uh-seez or, especially Brit., proh-ses‐, proh-suh] dictionary_questionbutton_default.gif Show IPA, verb, adjective

–noun

1.
a systematic series of actions directed to some end: to devise a process for homogenizing milk.
2.
a continuous action, operation, or series of changes taking place in a definite manner: the process of decay.
3.
Law .
a.
the summons, mandate, or writ by which a defendant or thing is brought before court for litigation.
b.
the whole course of the proceedings in an action at law.
4.
Photography . photomechanical or photoengraving methods collectively.
5.
Biology, Anatomy . a natural outgrowth, projection, or appendage: a process of a bone.
6.
the action of going forward or on.
7.
the condition of being carried on.
8.
course or lapse, as of time.
so we have three terms here that seem to have been incorrectly applied, and in doing so, functionality has been removed from the site, purportedly due to 'bugs' that could not be fixed, so the function was removed rather than fixing them.
Image approve button missing from videos
this is a screen shot from 7.0.5 default install, and the verbiage is as defined above. so basically the Disapproved section should be removed, and that functionality should be expressed via the "Processing' tab. with 5 tabs here, that from a first glance appears to have an incredible amount of flexibility for site management, only to find out that the verbiage is incorrectly utilized with incorrect definitions. so you actually only have 3 tabs that are functional, which essentially removes 40% of the functionality depicted in a presentation.

WELL without bringing out my dictionary all I know is they use to process before I updated to 7.0.4 and now they don't!  They are in my database but they are pending and they are movies I had uploaded b4 won't come out of pending.  I did not touch the cron job during the upgrade and I have uploaded over 200 video's so Hmmmmmm  what to do?

Is there really a problem with this?? my movies/clips are ready to view after processing. never need to approve. already approved after processing. Then can review and delete. Somewhere there is a way to set for auto approval. I remember seeing that in the settings somewhere? now to find it!

@bluemax - the issue is that most of us have videos set to be approved by admin before they appear on the site.    If you set videos to autoapprove it is not an issue.

That said - this is so obviously a screw-up.  I don't understand why anyone official hasn't given any input.
