I'm running it (well, the ad-free version) in crayonhost.net and it is awful. In one month the server has been down almost every day, for many hours sometimes. I'm looking for another one now. |
http://www.terabyte-hosting.com. Worth the extra few bucks. https://www.deanbassett.com |
it works fine on http://bowetech.com server..... |
http://www.terabyte-hosting.com. Worth the extra few bucks. thank you deano for the recommendation. our hosting packages also come with RMS, which you will find it difficult to find a hosting service that hosts dolphin, that will provide you with RMS. for those who are hosted on shared hosting, shared hosting works if its configured for running dolphin. we provide shared hosting services on all of our servers, there is no problem with running dolphin on a shared environment vs. dedicated of vps Regards, DosDawg When a GIG is not enough --> Terabyte Dolphin Technical Support - Server Management and Support |
What about executable support (i.e. ffmpeg)? |
I really like my low cost shared host: Alterhosting.com and Dolphin seems to have respectable performance there. As Dosdawg pointed out, shared hosts are not likely to have RMS though. |
I use http://www.joombyte.com/content/view/57/63/ and they are the best host ive ever had. they also include free dolphin install and provide free RMS and set up |
also suggest you look at Arvixe - http://www.arvixe.com/139-8-1-17.html - since I signed up 2 or 3 weeks back, they've been superb in getting me set up, helping with rms and everything works perfectly. plus there's a discount on the hosting section on this site. early days but so far they have been brilliant. after some of my past experiences, its a revelation. |
hi i am using siteground with shared plan; it works ok; but my site is not launched yet, i guess shared is ok for building your site and then you move to another type of hosting such as VPS, RPS, or Dedicated which i dont need more infos between those three. im planning to move to this host www.OVH.com if anybody can advise :) thank you |
