Dolphin site 20,000+ members

Im looking for 'live' and current D sites with large membership base - active users, not fake profiles...

So far, old forum posts give a list of sites that are either no longer running on dolphin, or are using D6

Does anyone have a site or know of one thats on D7 with around 20k users?

Need to know urgently for new launch what the 'actual' capabilities of D7 are...

Was someone on here selling a site with 633000 users last week... lmao..... I did ask if they were real users and got a somewhat confused response...... I guess that would be a no then lol... Good luck with your search. I don't actually think the problem is with dolphin on this one. It is a problem of social compliance... "we must all live on facebook only so we can post photos of our breakfast".... I secretly think that they have employed darren brown to induce this mass psychosis, because that is what it is.

I, for one, intend to learn from this and find out how to rewire this psychosis and utilise it to fill my site...

will let you know how it goes...

Im trying to find out what the physical capabilities of Dolphin actually are, here lots of mixed posts saying it wont handle many users, or the database will be too slow etc...

I have several sites with over 1000 members, all seem to run fine, and all are running off the same dedicated server!

I limit things like chat rooms though, and have tried to restructure the way my sites work for interaction, so its less bandwidth intense.

Found a couple of D7 sites with 3-6k members, they seem to run up to speed... not sure what servers they are on! would be good to find out...

just found it interesting that many of the 'big' sites listed in previous posts have all moved to other scripts...

Apparently D8 is being built for scalability which is so important for a social network script!

I HOPE you can easy upgrade from D7 to D8 though... otherwise....
