E-mail confirm

Hi,

I have a problem with the confirmation mail users. After registering on my site the user should get email with activation link, but most do not receive such an email, and some receive and confirm. Why is it that most do not get stranded with an activation mail? I checked and got. But I also checked with another IP number, and unfortunately the message did not reach.

Is there any settings in PHP? Cron Jobs? Please help

Are they also checking there spam mail folders as well ?

Yes, the default system is flawed, you may wish to read up on this thread about the problem. It's been raised countless times but no-one Boonex seems to be able to understand that the default email verification process is completely ridiculous.

In the end, we had to edit the code ourselves to get it to function normally as users would expect. At least now, members get a verification email and can't contribute to the site until they have verified their email now, it's still not quite perfect yet though as members see a blue padlock and access denied on every area of our site after signing up and before verifying their email address.
