Error

OK, so I'm having alot of problems with Dolphin 7.

Most evreything works ok, I believe it's just my server.

When I upload a video, it is only saved as a number, and not #.flv

Same thing happens when I try to upload a sound.

[And I waited 7 hours for it to process, and still nothing.]

How would I go about fixing this?

Keep in Mind I'm new to this, ANY Advice would be helpful!

I'm using sonethost.com

Server settings are

Apache version 2.2.13 (Unix)
PHP version 5.2.8
MySQL version 5.0.85-community
Architecture i686
Operating system Linux

search the forum for cron jobs, actually i think its a sticky note here on Dolphin 7 forum

Regards,

DosDawg

*NOTE* ffmpeg.exe is not converting your uploads, hence cron is not firing.

is it because I'm on a Linux Server the ffmpeg.exe

is not working?

Well it's like Dosdawg stated. Either your cron is not firing correctly or you do not have permissions set right on the FFmpeg.exe file. This file needs to either be at 777 or 755, and yes ffmpeg does run on Linux and others.

Can you be more specific, are you receiving cron error e-mails? What kind of limits do you have on uploads? and so forth.

Well, ffmpeg.exe is set to 777.

I'm not receiving any errors, that is the problem, it just doesn't work.

Or I'm not looking in the right place...

I found this in my error log relating to Videos, but thats about it:

Output #0, image2, to '/home/dir/public_html/flash/modules/video/files/1_temp_small.jpg':
Input #0, asf, from '/home/dir/public_html/flash/modules/video/files/1_temp':
Output #0, image2, to '/home/dir/public_html/flash/modules/video/files/1_temp.jpg':
Input #0, asf, from '/home/dir/public_html/flash/modules/video/files/1_temp':

And I know Nothing of Cron Jobs.
