Error Uninstalling Modules

Hi, I need to remove "Video Chat" button from "Profile Actions Menu"

This button is because of "Messenger Module", I don't want Video Chat Options, Text chat is enough for my site, so Simple Messenger is enough.

I've found on forum that to remove "video chat" button/functionality I have to uninstall "Messenger Module".

When I try to remove it, it says that it is dependent to "Desktop Module" so first remove "Desktop Module"

When I uninstall "Desktop" it says:

Uninstallation of: Desktop Failed

-- Update languages:
-- -- Cannot recompile the following languages:
-- -- English

When I recomplie it from Modules section its gives error,

Recompilation of language file(s) in Desktop Failed

English: An error occured. Contact with module's vendor

I've complied in "Language Settings" too.

Can any one figure out the problem and give me solution.

Check the folder langs and make sure the permission are properly set. Must be writable. Might have to make the files in the langs folder writable as well.

Have you moved the site to a new server recently or ever manually edited the language file in the langs folder. Either of those could have caused the problem.
