Error while upgrading from v.7.1.6 to v.7.2.0-v.3

While upgrading from from v.7.1.6 to v.7.2.0-v.3 using the patch: Dolphin-Patch-v.7.1.6-to-v.7.2.0-v.3, everything went good except on the last step when I click on (Click here to resize images from Photos module to the new dimentions) I get an error on /upgrade/files/7.1.6-7.2.0/photos_resize.php script.

The error says:

The my-site.com page isn’t working
my-site.com is currently unable to handle this request.

As a result all the images on the site are altered (out of resolution).

Also, after the upgrade I have removed the upgrade folder and checked the site.

I noticed that the Join now form doesn't have the Name field (only password, conform password, email, birthday and gender fields). Is this normal? How can I add the name and make it required?

I need to find out if I should fix these issues before continuing the upgrade to 7.3.0.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

You might find some help reading through my own Upgrade Hell 7.1.6 to 7.2.0.

Without having a website to look at, I can't see what the form looks like.

Thank you Michel for your prompt reply. I have looked at your own upgrade link and noticed the part where you wrote about the photos_resize.php image re-sizing. Luckily I didn't have all the problems that you faced during the upgrade. However, no success yet with my photo re-sizing issue.

Sorry I didn't realize that I didn't put the full URL. Here it is: http://handipoom.com/upgrade/files/7.1.6-7.2.0/photos_resize.php and as you would see it forwards to the profile of a member.

Actually what happened is, I added an 'echo' command within the photos_resize.php to do some debugging and it forwarded the link to the profile of a member, then I removed the echo command, restored the original photos_resize.php file, cleared the catch, public_catch and tmp folders without any success it keeps forwarding to the profile of a member. So it is very confusing.

I would much appreciate if anyone can give me a hint to where to look at.

I think I will continue the upgrade to 7.3 to see what happens.

Thanks again!

I noticed another strange issue.

After the upgrade from v.7.1.6 to v.7.2.0 I noticed the following error messages ONLY on the Home page or at least I didn't see it at other pages yet.

File not found: http://handipoom.com/plugins/swfupload/css/default.css
File not found: http://handipoom.com/plugins/swfupload/script/js/handlers.js
File not found: http://handipoom.com/plugins/swfupload/script/js/fileprogress.js
File not found: http://handipoom.com/plugins/swfupload/script/js/swfupload.queue.js
File not found: http://handipoom.com/plugins/swfupload/swf/swfupload.js

Which is natural because I deleted the swfupload folder because on the wiki upgrade instruction on page (https://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/7.1.6-7.2.0) it says:

Delete the following files manually via FTP or SSH:

...
plugins/phpids
plugins/swfupload
plugins/tiny_mce
...

So should I restore the swfupload folder or ... ?

Again, I would much appreciate any help.

Thanks!

hiorti

Try to make the following modification in upgrade/files/7.1.6-7.2.0/photos_resize.php file:

$iLimit = 10;

then run this script again, it may take a log time to complete if you have a lot of images.

Most probably it's cache, make sure that you've cleared /cache/ and /cache_public/ folders (leave only .htacess file there)
