Errors In Video

Hi

I've notice a few things wrong with the videos. When viewing a video that someone has uploaded the blocks have titles like "View Sound" and "Main Sound Info"  I don't know about you but last time I checked you can't view sounds. That just sounds dumb, especially when you're watching a video it says "View Sound"

Another thing, when you are viewing a video that you uploaded, you have a button you can push "Edit" and a popup opens allowing you to change the title, tags, description of the video. You click save and the popup goes blank, status bar says "Done" but the popup doesn't close and none of the changes take place on the video.

One more thing, when you are viewing a video, you have the button that says "Share" you click it and a popup opens allowing you to enter friends emails to send the video to, but also at the top you've got some social bookmarking buttons you can use to submit the video to popular social bookmarking sites. I noticed in particular the Stumble Upon button is not working correctly. It inserts too many http's into the url so the link you end up submitting to Stumble Upon looks like this: http://httphttp/www.yourdomain.com/m/videos/view/videotitle

Thats all for now until I do more testing...if you have trouble understanding what I'm saying about these error just say and I will try to explain better.

Hello!

Yes, we'll investigate why video page has keys from sound in some cases. About edit - after pressing save button page will be reloaded so you can see new info of file. About share - all links have corrected URL. If all mentioned troubles exists in your own site then provide me via Unity mail URL and test account there.

After making the changes, such as categories, title etc. those do save correctly on my end.
The only thing that doesn't work is the View Video part.

LeonidS, these issues still exist on my end. I am running the latest beta of Dolphin 7. I would create a test account for you to use on my site but it wont let me. I go to join and fill out the entire form, then I click the "Join" button and nothing happens. The page doesn't move, no errors, just nothing.

Okay, it turns out I had Beta 1 installed, thanks for pointing that out LeonidS. Forgot I didn't install Beta 2 yet. Now I have Beta 2 installed and I'd like to test these video feature again but...when trying to upload a video it says "File too big"

The file is only 47.5 MB

My post_max_size is 300 MB

My upload_max_filesize is also 300 MB

Any suggestions?

By default flash uploader has limit on 10Mb. We'll make ticket for setting up parameter of file size.

I got a video uploaded, the edit feature seems to be working with Beta 2, the popup goes away and the page reloads with the new data. However, the StumbleApon part of the share feature is still incorrect, still sending a messed up URL to StumbleUpon.

This error has yet to be fixed.

Another thing I find awkward is that Dolphin 7 notifies me of my own actions. Say for example I comment on my own video, I then recieve a notification stating "Corey has commented on Corey's video." Why would I need a notification for something I did myself?

Also, the notifications are worded a bit strangely. For example, if a member views my profile I get a notification that says "MemberA has viewed Corey's profile." Wouldn't it make more sense for it to say "MemberA has viewed your profile."?
