Events page layout

I can't add pictures anymore to my events and I can't layout text of the event. It doesn't accept page breaks.

Can anyone explain what happened to that layout ?

I'm using 7.0.5 version

It seems that HTML coding has disappeared completely ... wherever I try to edit something, HTML has gone.

Does nobody have this problem or does nobody care ?

Today I noticed that I also can't send private messages anymore.

Ok, maybe I'm sticking my nose in where I um....

Yeah, screw this!

What is this forum for?

What purpose does it serve if people cherry pick which issues they will and wont address?

This is absolutely unacceptable!

I think someone should step their ass up and post a response at the least!

You're absolutely right.

I will begin responding to every topic with "I don't know the answer, but wanted to respond" immediately.

I'm sorry I don't know the answer and choose simply not to respond, rather than posting and wasting peoples' time. I can assure you that if I did know the answer, I would be all over this topic like a Monte Cristo panini.

I do notice that BoonEx doesn't post very often in the forums (there's usually a day or two of activity every week, and then the occasional post every day by a few developers), but I don't know what their excuse is.

Nathan, come on man!

It is wasting time if someone is begging for help and and no one ackknowleges them.

Do you get ignored like this?

Let me search and find out.

What am I going to find?

It's also wasting time if someone responds simply to say "sorry, don't know the answer." I read almost every topic, but only occasionally do I post, and that's either because I know the answer, think I know the answer, or have some kind of comment to make. I have a large post count, mainly because of the second and third (horrible days of my youth).

I have made topics where they go ignored, and I have made topics where they are answered. I have also made topics that should be ignored, because I was asking for help with a Dolphin 5.6 installation, and nobody wants to have anything to do with that.

i have seen blocks disappear previously from bad source included in one section or another. in this case, i would review what is going on in the database, where something obscure was inserted just prior to this occurring.

but as to having an answer, this is one of the situations where it seems isolated to this particular site, and is not something widespread. but i do believe this is something you can track down to the database, from something previously being injected. think back to when this was all working, then dig through what you have done which could have caused this issue.

Honestly DosDawg, I did just nothing. Not even an upgrade. Everything worked fine until a couple of weeks ago. Two days ago I wanted to create an event and I noticed that I couldn't layout the text anymore. Besides that, I couldn't add a picture.

Then I noticed that I couldn't send messages anymore. Users of my site started sending me emails (through private mail) that they weren't able to send messages either.

I asked my host to check it out and he was able to send private messages. So it seems that some users can and other users can't ... weird.

I checked out the memberships levels, but nothing wrong there.

All strange things happening ... together with my site slowing down more and more each day.

So obviously there is something going on ... I just don't know what ... sigh ...

Annabel,

Have you tried changing to a different browser? I'm trying to think of something that changes without people knowing necessarily...Something that would also apply to some and not others. Browsers update themselves automatically...Firefox does a lot.

Quote · 15 Sep 2011

Yes, I tried everything ... it's not browser specific, my users are also complaining that they can't send messages anymore.

I'm desperate ..

What is your site url? (send via pm if need be). Have you asked you server tech if they have changed anything in regards to updates, configuration or other?

My host (Gigapros) already looked into the problem, but they can't help me. It seems to be related to the script. No changes were made, no upgrades, nothing. It occured all of a sudden, about 3 weeks ago.

Annabel's tine_mce isn't being called up when she goes to do messages or events. Nor is it being called up when attempting to add a simple HTML block to the homepage. It gives a field where code can be entered, but no tiny_mce to do anything is being called up. She appears to have all the files in the /dolphin/plugins/tiny_mce directories and what not and permissions are set correct. Tiny_mce just simply isn't being called up or something.

Does anyone know what calls-up tiny_mce?

this should narrow things down quite a bit, yes?

Gigapros (my host) has made a change to the ownership (permission) of a folder on Sept. 14.

They didn't tell me which folder.

I just sent them an email to ask for more details. Maybe they messed up some things ??

Ok, That's helpful- Yes, I can see that mail.php has been modified as of the 14th

Quote · 16 Sep 2011

I changed the mail.php on the 14th. I just copied the original file over the existing. Thought that might solve it. Not.
