Facebook Connect - not connecting.

Hello- I've been looking in the forums to see if anyone has a similar problem, and not finding anything. I hope someone can help.

The Facebook connector on my Dolphin 7.0.7 site (www.feedme.sg) seems to have stopped working.

I log in to facebook directly through their homepage, which is successful.

On my dolphin site, I select "Facebook Connect" from the drop-down menu.

This calls the facebook "authorization request" page, which I click to allow.

After this, I am returned to the "members.php page, but am not logged in; presented with username / password fields and drop-down selector again.

Can anyone help / suggest why this is going wrong?

Here is what i found.

I tested and verified facebook connect is not working.

So i created an account with the normal join form. After it was complete i tried to login. Failed. Invalid user or password.

If accounts can not be successfully created and able to be logged into with the normal join form then facebook connect will not be able to either.

Problem is not facebook connect. Get the other problem resolved and this one most likely will also be resolved.

Thanks for taking the time to look into this for me and send a reply. You found something obvious that I overlooked completely!

I've tried as you suggested, registering the "conventional" way via "Join now", and it worked. I got my confirmation email, and was able to log in after this.

I tried a few of the site functions- wall comment, etc and all seemed good. however, when I tried to change / add an Avatar image from my computer, the site logged me out afterward, and all attempts to log in again were met with "Error! Your username or password was incorrect. Please Try again."

Tried this twice- same result.

I tried logging in with an old member name, that I created earlier when the site was working OK. When I changed the avatar, I got the same result as above. The site logged me out, and unable to log back in.

I created yet another new member, but didn't upload a photo as part of the registration, and didn't change the avatar. This account remains functional.

Tried again- created another new member, with no photo upload. The account worked fine until I tried changing to one of the avatars from the library instead of uploading one. This caused the predicted logout without any way to reconnect.

I'm completely baffled here. Can you - or anyone else - help me to resolve this and get my site working smoothly again?

Coincidentally- forgot to ask in the previous post- what happens (or is supposed to happen) with the "Photo upload" in the registration process? It doesn't show up anywhere... as an avatar, in a gallery, etc. Anyone know?
