Featured Photos Module

I wasn't aware of how well I could use the feature function for my photos.  A while ago, I selected a lot of them at once.  Now, I can't tell which ones I've featured in the administration option and which ones I haven't.  I want to start selecting one daily, but now when I select one I've already made featured, it doesn't display on the website page.   How can I reset this or start using them daily.  It would be nice to just check a photo, and that photo displays on the page for the day.
