Feedback - there is something I don't get

My feedback system has never worked - one of the threads that got ignored on the RC board.  when I put the block on a page, nothing happens - it is just blank.  I finally decided to dig into the database and I forced a record in there, and was able to get it to display.  What it shows though, is the one "post" I made - how do feedback post get there in the first place?  What happened to the "feedback form" we had in D6?  That is what I thought I would be displayed in that block - not the feedback posts people had entered.  Either something is wrong with my set-up, or there is something I am not getting.  Could someone help me clear this up?

OK, I get it.  Disregard the message I sent in your site.   This is a usability thing.  Since I have been putting it in the smaller right hand column, I never saw the "post" link - and - maybe a different problem, since it never had data until it never showed on the site until I forced it into the database.   Problem can be seen on www.caltrade.com/members under my dysfunctional tag block.  See - no post link!  We can't get tracs on even major issue, but it would be nice if someone were noting all these usability issues we have been identifying.

Does anyone know how to make the feedback form show the input form as the default, rather than the results of the form.  Remember how it was on D6 - it was just a simple way for members to send their feedback to admin, and that is all I want.   I guess I don't care if they can see the feedback from other members by clicking the tab, but is there a way to make the "post" tab the default display?

I still don't have this working.  As you can see from the image below, I don't show the tabs for "post" and "view" on my feedback form.  I thought I had them once, and it was just a usability thing were it wasn't visible in a small column, but I have also tried this on the main bigger column - still no post tab.  I wanted a feedback form that showed just the form, but now I can't even get the normal feedback module to work properly.  Does anyone know what I am doing wrong here.  I am lost.
