Hi all, Was wondering if anyone else has this problem. When I try and edit the profile field and which ones are manditory on signup I have had no problems with the other fields but the DescriptionMe. When I clicked in the advance mode to turn the manditory off in DescriptionME, the form sits so low in the screen that the save button is out of view. I cant move the box to get it to move up and click it either. Does anyone else have this problem? Also If I'm not able to edit it this way where is it in the database files so that I can edit it that way?

2 suggestions:
1. Hit F11 and take it so the browser is full screened, that gets rid of the address bar at the top & buttons at the bottom.
2. Scroll so the box is all the way at the top before you click the field to begin to edit it.

Ok, I edited the fields and made them non manditoy and the red star to the left of the item is gone from the edit field box but when I go to save it shows the red error to the right makeing it manditory still. How can you change this to non manditory. Not to important but can I edit some to be nonmanditory and still have it searchable. |

Hi, i have the some problem. I solved it in this way :
go to administration>builder>profildfield>joinform
After that click on the descriptionme block, and i change the type from Htmltextarea in a simple Text, and this resolve the problem...

Did you remember to set the minimum value to 0? Many times boonex still requires the field be mandatory but if you set the minimum value to 0 bypasses the issue without having to change the text type. When you change it to simple text you lose the editor for people who want to really write a description. Setting the minimum to 0 fixes the issue so people can type what they want and edit it as they want, and others can bypass completely.
Edit: Also, any non-mandatory field that has a minimum set will become mandatory to submit. The mandatory field selector only places the * next to the item, it doesn't actually do anything else. The minimum/max fields will make and item mandatory.
