Files module

Hi,

I am looking for a better "Files module" or a way to make dolphin one better.

I do use the module enough but my users are generally complaining about one thing:

- you have to click one the "download" button in the "actions" menu, and you can not click directly on the file. And you have the file folder link just over the file that you can click, but then you go back to the folder.

They are a bit confuse and I am agree it is a bit complicated for just downloading a file.

Do anybody find a better solution ( I could not find a files module in the market ).

It will be also very nice if the picture could show an appropriate bild with the file ( for exemple an PDF logo, or a DOC logo,...)

Thanks in advance for any help.

Ok, it look like nobody is concern by the same problem :-(

Now I am thinking to try to just put just download button in a banner under the file. So that I could make a banner like "click here to download this file".

But I don't find how I can take the "download" button out the action box.

Any solution ?

Thanks

Hi.

Slightly of topic but I also use the files module a lot and still wonder how to add a file with picture from the files folder. In fact I don't even see an add file button.

At the moment I add files via the store module which allows me to upload a picture then go to file/edit to change tags and who can download. But the picture uploaded from store does not appear in the file section.

Perhaps you'll share how you do this? Thanks

I still haven't find anything to make the "download files" better.

Maybe somebody could help me to at least get the following.

When you offer a file on download in a group, an event,etc...How to change so that the "download" button does appear, but when non-registred user click on it, it take them to join.php ?

Please, please, please,... somebody help with this
