Filesystem on Installation

Dear Boonex Community, I bought a prime license and I have a dedicated server at my hoster. Now I have two questions: 1) Which OS is recommended, Debian 5 or Ubuntu 9.10? In case of Ubuntu 9.10, can I just upgarde to new versions once they are out, or is Debian a better choice? 2) Is there a filesystem structure that is recommended, eg. for /tmp, /home, /opt and so on or you just install everything on /root ??

See...this sentence should be on bottom.Smile

I am using Opera on Ubuntu 9.10 and once I press enter, cursor does not go down, it goes up.

BTW....this Orca seems to have a small bug...

There is no recommended Linux distribution or file system, but Linux is the preferred choice for hosting Dolphin with. Personally, I use Debian 5.0.3 as the base for my virtualized installations, as it has a history of being rock-solid stable.

The issue you are describing involving Opera is not an issue with the script itself, but the web browser. I would suggest you visit the My Opera community and post a request for help in their forums.

Also, what is the issue you are currently having with Orca? More information would be needed before we can help you.

Hello Magnus...

thanks....

I had some problems with Orca, as once I pressed Enter, the next line was not down, it was up.

But now it works.

Magnus, is there any recommended partitioning for Dolphin 7 ?

Or I use entire disk space for / ?

Dolphin is a web script, not an operating system, so I do not know what you mean by "partitioning."
