FireFox/FireBug How do you save you editing to a file?

I manage to edit in the small window pane to the right... it shows up right away on the website screen as being changed...

Now how to I save the editing?

I am getting a lot of cache files that are interfering with the actual file that the data is contained in.

i need to know how to get to the appropriate css file.. and how to save from firebug...

I tried editing.. can't find a save... added notpad.. seems to be editing cached datafiles...

anyone help me out on this one?

You can preview changes in Firebug, but you then need to edit the actual files to commit these changes. You should disable caching beforehand, which will make finding these files easier.

You save the editing by scrolling to bottom of the left hand panel selecting then copying the text by right clicking on the mouse ..once you have edited it to your liking then pasting it in the css file that is named at the top left .

or you can click on the css name top left of scroll panel then it opens the css into the whole panel at the bottom make your changes then in the top menu bar select  edit then select all.. then select edit again then copy then paste in to the correct css file on your server ..

this firebug is a super program...

i just scroll through the top menu till it highlights what i want...

use the right panel to edit so i can see what is happening.. then the blue link on the right panel tells me where the file is what the file name is and what line number to edit... did most of the template mods today.. yippy.. fast fast fast... thanks people.. i could have pulled out at least three quarters of my hair trying this without help.
