All permissions are set. I have checked everything. The flash uploader was working perfectly before the upgrade. I can still upload, just not with the flash. Also, simple messenger seems to have disappeared (same problem?)

my server is having problems at the moment, or i would run a few tests for you to check if it was a update problem. |
OK, I have just uploaded a 4.3MB MP4 file using the flash uploader. Uploaded ok, took about 60 secs to process.. Have you tried with different video file types? FLV, WMV, AVI, MP4 ? |
Really? Hmm. thats very odd. That's what I was uploading. I can upload using the regular uploader but no the flash. Maybe my flash application is screwed up on my PC

Where did you test this? http://towtalk.net ... Hosted by Zarconia.net! |
Might not be related, i get confused with Java and Flash sometimes.. I just updated my PC Java ? http://weaponofmassinformation.org/m/videos/view/Unthinkable |
A non-Dolphin developer mentioned to me last night that problems are occurring on his sites as a result of the latest Flash update. I noticed in the D7 Flash Apps/Video Player/Settings that there is a new entry for the H264 codec. (I think this codec is for the move to high def content on the net.) The help tip indicates it needs a new ffmpeg install. Has Boonex released any details on this? Perhaps that is where the issue lies. Would love to know more about this setting and what is involved. Someday, Someway. |
thats a thought. there was a post i seen here yesterday, a guy was asking about a video quality mod, and the functions.inc.php file has been changed. The video quality code has been replaced by code for H.264. i'll find it. But, i don't know why i haven't been affected if that is the case. edit: http://www.boonex.com/unity/forums/?action=goto&search=1#topic/High-Quality-Video.htm |
I force installed a wall mod designed for 7.0.0, I wonder if it replaced a file with an old version for this process that is causing problems with my 7.0.1 update? http://towtalk.net ... Hosted by Zarconia.net! |
Could very well be. might be an idea to check the changelist for 7.0.1, you could get an idea of what was changed for your video related files, then re-download those files? I seen this changelist when installing, but i can't find it now. |
I've just made a fresh install of 7.0.1 as the upgrade caused so many errors it was much easier to delete everything and start again. There are a few bugs with 7.0.1 and the flash uploader is one of them. It works, i.e it does actually upload the files, but then spits out script errors in the browser (FF & Safari Mac) after the upload has completed. Simple uploader is working just fine though. |

Exactly! I spent some time today and removed ALL my mods. I then reinstalled the upgrade overwriting all my changes and fixing any files that might have been replaced with old ones. All the problems still exist. The simple messenger has vanished, the flash uploader pretends to work, then goes 404, the login button in the promo image on the index page locks up the browser, etc etc. I mean the list is frikkin endless. I gave it the benefit of the douibt by removing the mods but it was to no avail. It's not the mods..... http://towtalk.net ... Hosted by Zarconia.net! |

I tried the solution located elsewhere in the forum to disable and reenable the simple messenger in membership permissions and it had no effect. I still don't have it back. I also cannot find a reason why the flash uploader is throwing a 404 error and I can still lock up my IE8 like a rock just by clicking the join button in the promo image. My last thought is to completely remove ALL installed mods, flush the cache and reinstall them all, 1 by 1 but I am fairly positive that will have absolutely no effect whatsoever. I just have used the flash uploader (photo section) with no problems under 7.0.1 fresh installation. Kids first |
