Forum Posts Block

Is there a way to change the listing of forum posts on the FORUM POSTS Block which is on the home page. The default is the title of the post, a brief part of it and date/time. Is it possible to list only the title of the post, which would allow for many more posts to be listed in the same vertical space?

This is standard RSS block which is using forum RSS feed to display latest topics on the site homepage. If you change it somehow then every RSS block is changed as well. 

Another solution is to add different block on the homepage especially for the forum - there are some products in the market which provide such functionality.
