to add to what mydatery has already said, you need to make sure you are the owner of the orca forums directory, there was a time that there were several server setups that were choosing to set owner as 99 and therefore where you would think you deleted everything for a clean install, the forum directory as well as others are not being deleted. please verify that all is empty.
also, since we can presume you are on a shared environment, which there is nothing wrong with that as long as the server is configured for dolphin functionalities and performance.
now one other thing is to make sure from your service provider that nothing has changed on the servers setup in regards to the php build and making sure that you have all of the components needed to run the orca forum.
you need to create a file to check your servers build <? phpinfo() ?> and see if you have xslt and xml as part of the build. these are needed to run orca.
Okay, let's see what's going on here.
1. Your system worked good before upgrading from RC3 to the stable version:
- Did you upgrade to RC4 and then RC5? These would be necessary if you we're upgrading.
- You said you tried a clean install after your upgrade from RC3 failed. This leads me to believe that you did not do the upgrades in between. When you did the clean install did you delete all the files from your server and then upload or just upload the new files overtop the old ones?
- Do you have a compressed js file? Take a look at the js files that your page is calling up (just look at the url and then open the file for that page and look at what it's calling in the file as far as other files go and check all of them) You can check these by comparing the file sizes of what's on your server to what's in the Dolphin 7.0 zip file that you uploaded.
This is where I'd suggest starting and if everything is okay on these items then we can begin to look closer. Also, make sure your FTP Client is set to binary uploads only so as to avoid alot of problems.
